Matrix and Bushings

DIN 9845 FORM A ve B

Matrices are inserted into the female cutting plate in Cutting Dies. It is used as the opposite cutter of the punch. The fact that it is a part that can be replaced when it becomes dull increases the preference for use. It is frequently used in applications requiring long durability in harsh environments.

Bushings are parts used for precise positioning and centering of punches in cutting dies. Bushings are generally preferred to further increase the movement at the connection points of machines or other similar mechanical products. It is also preferred to determine and prevent the level of vibration or instantaneous movements. The gaps and contractions that occur in the machines are prevented by the bushings and are also used for this purpose.

Matrix is the name given to the female cutting plate used in cutting operations. In cutting dies, the matrix is a component on which the punch performs the desired cutting process by applying pressure.

The punch is the component that performs the cutting process by applying pressure to the workpiece on the matrix. The punch completes the cutting process by passing the workpiece through the opening on the matrix.

Regular maintenance of the matrix is important in cutting moulds. Clean and smooth surface of the matrix affects the work quality. It is necessary to lubricate at regular intervals and to check the matrix surface to detect abrasions.
